The essence of the Relax Rabbit system is that we do not keep our rabbits in cages, but on the floor. Our rabbits grow in groups, so they can socialize with each other, they can distribute themselves at the territory according to their wishes. Photos of the stables will be available soon on our website. All of our breeders guarantee with their signature the quality of the Relax Rabbit rabbits, that their evolution and conditions were constantly monitored and that they were according to the highest animal protecting requirements.
The technology
This breeding process has been chosen by Tetrabbit Ltd. after a long research period. Our specialists have looked into many different systems in various countries (for example from Switzerland) so that we could combine the best of these to create our innovative breeding method. This system has been accepted by KagFreiland and from the autumn of 2011 SGS will have regular audits at our establishments.
Breeding, feeding
The whole process of breeding is monitored by contracted veterinarians. We are not using any hormones, and in case of diseases antibiotics are only used with veterinarian supervision for the shortest period possible. It is also important to us to recreate the natural nutrients of our rabbits so they are fed by hay, carrot, apple to not only eat manufactured nutrients. The rabbits can also play with wood chews in order to serve them by a stimulating environment.
Processing
Relax Rabbits are processed separately and are constantly monitored from the stables until packing by Swiss specialists in the food industry. The slaughter house meets the standards of IFS, and it is checked regularly.
